He was predeceased by: his parents, William Otey Nolen and Lola Shively Nolen-Hall; and his sister Rebecca Minter of Axton, VA.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Craig Nolen; his daughter Kristi N. Coons (Jeff Bowerman) of Front Royal, VA; his grandchildren, Morgan N. Coons of Stephens City and Brian Michael Coons of Front Royal; and his siblings, Pattie Griggs (Walter) of Axton, VA and Lane Hall (Cindy) of Rocky Mount, VA..
