He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Grandstaff and Annie Shadwell Grandstaff; his daughter Rebecca "Becky" Jo Grandstaff; his siblings, James Franklin Grandstaff and Barbara Catherine Bowman (Bobby); his nephew Bryan Walker; and his sister-in-law Dolly Grandstaff.
He is survived by: his grandson Parker Wood of Broadway, VA; his siblings, Robert Grandstaff of Basye, VA, William Grandstaff (Judy) of Edinburg, VA and Frances Grandstaff Walker (Tom) of Stanardsville, VA; and his sister-in-law Donna Grandstaff. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
