She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Schmidt and Thekla Schmidt (John McInteer). She is survived by: her children, Steven R. Grupe (Sandi) and Pamela K. Range; her grandchildren, Zachary Range, Mary Beth Strebel, Curtis Grupe (Alana), Kayla Grupe and Sara Grupe; her great grandchild Carter Grupe; her sister Barbara; and her brother-in-law Jerry Wilkes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church (127 E High St, Woodstock, VA 22664).
