He was predeceased by: his parents, James Osbourne and Annie Roberta Payne Slack; and his wife Cora Alice Underwood Slack. He is survived by: his children, Sheri Lynn McMahon (William) of Fredericksburg, VA and James Randolph Slack (Bernadette) of Edinburg; his grandchildren, Joshua Slack (Lexi) of Fayetteville, NC, Caleb Slack (Eli) of Fayetteville, Amanda Lombardi (Kahl) of Centreville, VA and Wesley McMahon of Waltons Mountain, VA; and his great grandchildren, Jake, Ellie Lombardi and Gabriel Slack.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Valley Baptist Church (408 Stoney Creek Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM and on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Sunset View Memorial Gardens (2677 Fravel Rd, Woodstock, VA 22664).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Baptist Church, 408 Stoney Creek Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824.
