He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dorrin Sr. and Elizabeth Murray Dorrin; his brothers, Earl (Joyce) and Jack (Josephine); and his son Donald Edward Dorrin.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Mary Blankley; his daughters, Joanne Nightingale (Everett) of Rocky Mount, N. C. and Mary Beth Jones (Hugh) of Brookneal; his daughter-in-law Jeannine Dorrin of Lynchburg; and his sons, Thomas Dorrin (Judy) of Clayton, N. C. and John Dorrin (Diane) of Woodstock, VA.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
