He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Clester DeLaughter and Katherine Walters DeLaughter; and his sister Mary Rose Isham. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Donald Jr. (Robin) of Timberville, Michael (Christine) of Mount Jackson and Angela DeLaughter of Conicville; his grandchildren, Jayme Smith (Phillip), Kim Wright (Adam), Katie DeLaughter (Nick Louk), Paul, Christopher Delaughter and Thomas Shamburg; his great grandchildren, Archer, Oliver Smith, Cael, Caine, Cohen Wright, Jude Louk and Wyatt DeLaughter; and his sister Katherine Beeson.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (321 Headquarters Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824).
