He was predeceased by : his parents, Grover Jacob and Bessie Alice Fink Dove; and his siblings, Arnold Dove and June Shamburg. He is survived by : his wife Rose Marie Dove; his children, Anita Stevens and Bradley Dove (Rhonda McLaughlin) of Harrisonburg; and his siblings, Hope Barb of Mt. Jackson and Dwight Dove of Briery Branch. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Service (14116 S Middle Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Shenandoah Community Fellowship Benevolence Fund, 197 Patmos Road, Woodstock VA.
