Billy left this world on February 3, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, French Boone and Miriam Mclaughlin Boone. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Karen Boone Waller, John Michael Boone, David Raymond Boone and Russell William Boone; and his grandchildren, Jessica Waller DeCarlo, Lucas Waller, Anna Waller Sager, Aaron Waller, Scott Stevens, Kyle Boone, Stone Boone, Allyson Boone, Alexis Boone Ziemba, Jacquelyn Boone, Christina Boone Carpenter, Tanner Boone, Katie Boone and Gabriella Boone. He is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. John's United Methodist Church (116 S High St, Edinburg, VA 22824). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cedarwood Cemetery (28 S Main St, Edinburg, VA 22824).
