He was predeceased by: his father John R. Harris of Chase City; his brother Dean Harris of South Boston; and his nephew John Allen Harris of Richmond. He is survived by: his wife Becky Vaughan Harris of Eastville; his children, Katherine Harris Fisher (Brad Thomas Fisher) of Nathalie and Daniel Brian Harris (Katie Boyd Harris) of Forest; his grandchildren, Bryton Axle Fisher, Ryker Thomas Fisher of Nathalie, Mason Causey Harris, Jackson Reid Harris of Forest, Kayla Sage Johnson and Hunter Chase Johnson of North Carolina; his mother Virginia Hudson Harris of Chase City; his siblings, Janet Harris of Raleigh, NC and Rodney Hudson (Dolores Hudson) of Clarksville; his children, Elizabeth, Jason Glaze, Nathan Hudson, Eli Hudson, Noah Hudson and Emma Hudson; and his niece Heather Harris. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.
