With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernia Pearl Shifflett of Earlysville, Virginia, who passed away on November 15, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, H. Bluford Frazier and Mandy Collier Frazier; her husbands, George E. Frazier and H. Frank Shifflett; her siblings, James "Jimmy", Delbert, John Frazier and Christine "Helen" Thompson; her son-in-law Frankie Townsend; her granddaughter Lisa Townsend; and her close friend Phillip Shifflett.
She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Ann Townsend of Earlysville; her grandchildren, Greg Townsend (Debbie) of Earlysville, Frances Walker (Gary) of Nortonsville and Tracy Townsend of Earlysville; her great grandchildren, Michael (LeAnn), David, Christy Walker, Adam (Anne), Jessica Townsend and Ricky Collier (Sue); her great great grandchildren, Dakota (Emilee), Mikey Ellis, Laci Walker and Abigail Walker; her sisters, Audrey Davis of Scottsville, Nettie "" Thompson of Crozet and Dolly "Minnie" McCauley of Nortonsville; and her nephews, David and Travis Collier.
