He was predeceased by: his son Philip Drake Lawrence, III; and his wife Annie Jeffery Gilliam. He is survived by: his brother Robert Spencer Lawrence of Richmond; his children, Sarah Ellen Lawrence, James Gilliam Lawrence of Earlysville and Thomas Spencer Lawrence (Sharon Joy Lawrence) of Dunwoody; and his grandchildren, Jessica Anne Lawrence and Matthew Philip Lawrence of Sandy Springs.
