She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Giles Brite; her sister Irene Murray; and her grandson Bradley Bickel. She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Cox (Tom), Robin Bickel and Holly Jenkins (Eric). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Helen's honor to the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA.
