It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frankie Lee Townsend of Earlysville, Virginia, born in Scottsville, Virginia, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Otto and Lillie Mae Townsend (Layne); and his siblings, Spencer, Carroll, Clarence Townsend, Margaret Breeden (Tiny), Pauline Bishop, Betty Townsend and Rebecca Henderson (Peggy).
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Townsend; his mother-in-law Vernia Shifflett; his children, Greg Townsend (Debbie) of Earlysville, Frances Walker (Gary) of Nortonsville, Lisa and Tracy Townsend of Earlysville; his grandchildren, Michael (LeAnn), David, Christy Walker, Adam (Anne), Jessica Townsend and Ricky Collier (Sue); and his great grandchildren, Dakota (Emilee), Mikey Ellis, Laci Walker and Abigail Walker.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, a private graveside service will be held with a memorial service at a later date.
