We bid farewell to Betty Herring Shifflett of Earlysville, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 14, 2025 at the age of 80. Betty Herring touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jimmy" Elijah Shifflett; her parents, James Herring and Lydia Herring; and her siblings, Donnie, Jimmy, Leroy, Phyllis, Juanita and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Martin, Ashley, Stacey and Suzy; her children-in-law, Laura, Doug, Bradley and Chris; her grandchildren, Gabe, Eli, Elle, Sam, Owen, Alex and Annie; and her sister Judy. She is also survived by her family, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church (550 Buck Mountain Rd, Earlysville, VA 22936).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Chestnut Grove Church, 550 Buck Mountain Rd., Earlysville, Virginia.
