He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shiflett and Maggie Shiflett; his children, Paul "Dickie" Shiflett and Paula Sue Shiflett; his siblings, George, Charlie, Gilbert Shiflett, Patsy White, Helen Hawley White, Naomi Leiben and Elizabeth Roberts; and his daughter Ruby Carver.
He is survived by: his close friend Hazel Shifflett; his children, Elvis, Jeffery, PeeWee, Jabo, Pete, Timmy Shiflett, Lois Ann Shiflett and Barbara Allen; his stepdaughters, Peggy Shifflett, Wanda Shifflett, Karen Crawford and Phyllis Morris; and his sisters, Velma Roberts, Charlotte Perry and Maggie Morris. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, family and friends.
