She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Eugene White and Frances Estes White; her son Francis LeRoy Smith Jr.; and her siblings, Gayle Eugene White, Joyce White Kemp and Jerry R. White.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Lee Gibbs Jr.; her children, William Franklin Smith (Brandi), Mary Ann Batchelor (John), Nancy Carol Smith, Kimberly Dawn Hall (Jeffrey) and Joy Lynn Hayes; her stepdaughter Carol Blankenship; and her sister Patricia Fernald Morgan (Richard). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
