He is survived by: his wife Catherine Jean Stokes; his sons, Aubrey S. Stokes (Terri) of Wicomico Church, David W. Stokes (Sherry) of Dunnsville and D. Wade Stokes (Jennifer) of Dunnsville; his sister Kathleen Bareford (Lindsey) of Tappahannock; and his half-siblings, Gladys Sydnor of Tappahannock, Ronnie Stokes of Dunnsville and Donnie Stokes of Dunnsville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
