He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Carter and Gladys Blackwell (Johnson); his sister Joyce Osborne; his stepfather N. Kemp Blackwell; and the mother of his children Sue B. Carter.
He is survived by: his children, David Cater (Marie-Annette), Mary Street (Barry) and Jessica Carter; his grandchildren, Christopher Carter (Kiera), Rosemarie Carter (Andrew Massey) and Nathan Eidson; his great grandchildren, William Carter and Brayden Carter; and his cousins, Fred Collins and Judy Ontotz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of one's choice.
