She was predeceased by: her parents, Opal Gerome and Cotella Nell Peters (Salyer); her husband Danny Sam Brickey; her siblings, Mary Wanda Quillen (Peters), Alleen Wohlford (Peters) and Lankford L. Peters; and her nephew Lankford Lowell Peters, Jr..

She is survived by: her son Daniel Sam Brickey, Jr. (Angela) of Dungannon, VA; her granddaughters, Candace Brickey of Dungannon, VA and Samantha Brickey Jones (James); her great grandchildren, Aleara Gabrielle Jones and Keegan Jace Jones; and her siblings-in-law, Sue Peters (Cox) of Dungannon, VA and Bob Brickey of Kingsport, TN.
