We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2023, at the age of 71, Phyllis Marie (Gibson) Sluss of Dungannon, Virginia, born in Kingsport, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gibson and Rena Gibson; her husband Johnny Sluss; and her siblings, Maxie Dockery, Mary Adams, Pauline Massey, Kathleen Gillenwater, George Gibson, Jr. (Lidge), Ralph Gibson and Eugene Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Pierson, Jamie Carver (Tony), Melissa Crouch (Tony) and Matthew Pierson (Alishia); her granddaughter Miranda Pierson; and her brother Kyle Gibson (Annie). She is also survived by 6 granddaughters; 6 great-granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help pay for funeral expenses.
