He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sluss (Jim) and Mary Kate Sluss (Finch); and his half-sister Nettie Lane. He is survived by: his brothers, Kenneth Sluss (Gobble) and Jimmy Darrell Sluss; his half-brothers, Warren Sluss and D. F. Sluss; his wife Phyllis Sluss; and his children, Jennifer Pierson, Jamie (Tony Carver), Melissa (Tony Crouch) and Matthew Pierson. He is also survived by 5 granddaughters, 6 great granddaughters; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
