She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney R. Gillenwater and Helen Irene Gillenwater (Lawson); her former husband Michael McNew; her sister Aretta Hill; and her mother-in-law Blanche Hammonds.
She is survived by: her husband Steve Brickey; her daughters, Julia Williams of Kingsport, TN and Tina Anderson (Tony) of Gate City, VA; her grandchildren, Lauren Williams of Kingsport, TN, Kris Jordan of Kingsport, TN, Jared Houston of Kingsport, TN, Victoria Williams of Kingsport, TN, Kaitlyn Williams of Kingsport, TN, Isaac Williams of Kingsport, TN, Diane of Gate City, VA, William Blevins of Gate City, VA, Toni of Gate City, VA, Madison of Gate City, VA and Michael Anderson of Gate City, VA; her great grandchildren, Luna Houston, Kai Jordan, Jaxtyn Williams, Deacon Blevins and Jonah White; her son-in-law David Williams of Kingsport, TN; her siblings, Shirley Thacker (Sug), Diane, Jeanette, Jeanelle, Sandra, Georgia and Sidney Don Gillenwater (Debbie); her aunts and uncles, Otis (Mima Lawson), James (Sue Lawson), Ina Lawson, Laurie Muse of Columbia, SC and Ruth Ann (Clyde Carter); her nephews, Chris Hill, Matt Hill and Aaron Gillenwater (Teia Sloan); and her pet Whitey.
