He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Sweeney Sluss and Ballard Sluss Sr.; his siblings, Hershel Sluss, Ben Sluss, Fred Sluss, Mack Sluss, Estelle "Tabby" Richmond and Margaret Lou Meade; and his nephew Jesse Sargent.
He is survived by: his wife Lizzie B. Sluss; his daughter Donna Sluss Lell (Joe Lell); his granddaughter Jasmine Lell (Justin Banks); his siblings, Charles Sluss, Brenda Jessee, Jerry Strong and Virginia Campbell (Jenny); his siblings-in-law, Frieda Sluss, Mary Sluss and Jack Meade; and his half-sister Maxie Castle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
