With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Berlene L. Perry (Dundas, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 18, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ashton P. Lewis and Georgianna S. Lewis; and her brothers, Edward A., James E., William T. Sr., Walter L, Ernest J. and Manson C..
She is survived by: her children, Florine Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD, Gwendolyn Brown-Young, Georgianna Teel Bowie, MD (Anthony), Rev. Floyd Brown (Patricia) of Richmond, VA, Earl Lewis (Michelle) of Montclair, NJ and Leslie Perry (Bethany) of Bowie, MD; her siblings, Catherine Coleman and Waverly Lewis, Sr. (Rosa) of Petersburg, VA; her sister-in-law Helen Lewis; and also Charlyn Richardson (Charlie). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Zion Amez Church (2335 Foundry Creek Rd, Dundas, VA 23821).
