He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Joseph and Julia Elizabeth Byrnes Kastner; and his brother Robert Kastner. He is survived by: his wife Nelda Moore Kastner; and his children, Joseph Byrnes Kastner (Patricia) of Cream Ridge, NJ, Margaret Ellen Walsh (Raymond), Ann Marie Kastner-Clayton of Gainesville, VA, Timothy William Kastner (Tina) of Fairfax Station, VA, David Edward Kastner of Alexandria, VA and John Robert Kastner (Ji-Eun) of Vienna, VA.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
