He was predeceased by: his parents, Katie Alice Johnson and Lewis Johnson; and his siblings, William "Buck" Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Irene Kendall and Sheila West.
He is survived by: his wife Alma Johnson; his children, Stacy Ernest Johnson (Kimonita), LaTasha Madison (Steve), Shavon Coleman and Amonte Porter (Shannon); his goddaughter Shirley Mackey (Ronald); his grandchildren, Octayvia Johnson, Iyanna Madison, Avery Madison, LaShawn Coleman, Angela Coleman (Rashaud), LaTisha Toppin, Derrick Whiting (Tierra) and Patricia Sadie Porter; his siblings, Eugene Johnson (Violet), Kenneth Johnson (Linda), Catherine Minor (Ralph), Betty Anderson (Leon) and Janet "Pinky" Grayson (Rickey); and his brother-in-law Willie West (Sheila).
