It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan S. Shoptaugh of Dugspur, Virginia, who passed away on November 16, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Joseph and Sarah Clark Saurage; and her husband James David Shoptaugh. She is survived by : her children, A. T. (Christy Wiggins), Terry Chestnut of Louisiana and Joan (Andy Ahlborn); and her stepchildren, Catherine Shoptaugh Landry, J. David Shoptaugh, John E. Shoptaugh and Mark Shoptaugh. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
