He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt Thompson and Elsie Thompson; and his siblings, Aubrey, Dana Slusher and Wilma Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Janette M; his children, Stanley Thompson (Kathy) and Sherry Vaughn (Jerry); his grandchildren, Jeremy Vaughn (Ginger) and Kristin Vaughn; his great grandchildren, Alyssa Carroll, Beckett and Porter Vaughn; his brother Dale Thompson (Linda); and his pet Miss Dolly. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sky View Baptist, Pine Grove Missionary Baptist or Gideon's International.
