He is survived by: his wife Leona; his siblings, Ruth Smith, Ethel Edens and Edellas Winegar; his children, Kathy Johnson (Arlis) and Michael Hurd (Katy); his grandchildren, Regina Slater (Jason), Emily Hurd and Ike Hurd; his great grandchild Jasmine Slater of Duffield, VA; his significant other Charlie Darnell; and also, Wayne Hurd, Josh Morris, Kamesh Sivagnanam and Kim Townsend. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
