She was predeceased by: her father Coy Akers; and her half-brother Roger Jones. She is survived by: her mother Billie Akers (Lane); her half-sister Rhonda Akers; her aunt Dalphine; her uncles, Junior Gillenwater, Don Akers, Ken Akers and Lonnie Akers; and her close friend Nicole Spivey. She is also survived by many cousins and other family members and friends.
