He was predeceased by: his parents, James Peters and Elva Peters (Dickerson); and his sister Hazel Peters. He is survived by: his siblings, Eula Mae Winston (David), Dewey Peters and William Dickerson; his nephews, Dustin Winston (Barbara) and Chris Winston (Christine); his great-nieces, Haylor, Emily and Hannah; and his great-nephew Kaden.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Bledsoe Cemetery.
