She was predeceased by: her husband Lubert Hammond; her sons, Eddie Lee and Richard Lynn Hammond; her brother Bobby Austin; and her sons-in-law, Kenneth Dingus and Samuel Williams.
She is survived by: her daughters, Phyllis Payne (Tommy) of Blackwater, VA and Teresa France (Larry); her brothers, Cecil Austin and Vextel Austin; her grandchildren, Mark Dingus (Britteny), Brian Dingus (Kayla) and Kendra Hammond; and her great grandchildren, Caleb Dingus, Sarah Dingus, Brandon Dingus and Isiah Bennett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
