He was predeceased by: his parent Ray Sloan. He is survived by: his parent Clara Sloan (Kindle); his wife Elvia Hood Sloan; his siblings, Thomas Sloan, Ida Bess Barrett, Nadine Wilson and Gladys Head; his children, Lester Sloan (Karen) of Duffield, VA, Mark Sloan and Martin Sloan (Melissa); his grandsons, Jeffrey Sloan and Stephen Sloan (Barbara); his great grandchildren, Makala Sloan of Duffield, VA, Josh Walters of Duffield, VA, Makenzie Bowen (Austin) of Duffield, VA and Isaiah Sloan of Duffield, VA; his great great grandchildren, Andrew Walters and Ace Bowen; his siblings, Charles Sloan (Patricia), Hubert Sloan (Nelle) and Lucy Sloan Johnson of Maryland; and his sisters-in-law, Reba Stokes of Weber City, VA and Faye Sloan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
