He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram M. Minor and Bessie L. Minor (Blevins); and his siblings, Lula Kozakowski (Joe), Madeline Bush (Elmo), Frances Riggs (Cliff), Janice Terry (Rackel), Elmer Miner (Helen), Dewey Miner (Janet) and Merrill Miner (Ruth).
He is survived by: his wife Leona Minor (Payne) of Duffield, VA; his children, Angela Minor Trice (Mark) of Atlanta, GA, Anita Jayne Minor of Kingsport, TN and Luther Hiram Minor, Jr.; his brothers, Kyle Minor of Blountville, TN, Harlis Minor (Ellen) of Hazard, KY and Fred Minor (Angie) of Bluff City, TN; his grandchildren, Meredithe Minor Bishop of Weber City, VA, Paige Laney (Thomas) of Phoenix, AZ, Samantha Minor Smith, Big, Brandon Minor Trice of Atlanta, GA and Olivia Ellison Minor of Lexington, KY; his great grandchildren, Roark, Rowan Bishop, Lilly Trice, Easton, Carolina Laney and Willa Smith; and his grandchildren, Yorkie and Scooby. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Parkinsons Foundation.
