She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Calton and Stella Miller Calton; her husband Jessee Robert Townsend; her brother Willie Frank Calton; and her son-in-law Robert Barry Hensley.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Ramey, Shirley Hall (Johnny), Wanda Williams (Fred), Joyce Hensley (Mike), Shelby Hensley, Robert Townsend (Kimberly), Mark Townsend (Donna) and Charlie Townsend (Stella); and her siblings, Dora Calton, Norma Townsend (Lonnie), Daniel Calton, Alonzo Calton and Gerald Calton (Barbara). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
