She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Walter Ray "Shorty" Kern; her brother Wayne E. Kern; her grandparents, Pearly Beam, Norma G. Martin (Beam), Charles and Mary Kerns (Waters); her great-grandparents, Francis and Orpha Greear (Wolfe); her husband Rufus M. "Cody" Hurd, Jr.; her son Ryan M. Hurd (Tina); her mother Anita B. Kern; her stepgranddaughters, Chloe and Savannah Baldwin; her aunts, Clara L. Haynes (Haskel) and Jean Begley; and her pets, Tiny Cat and Wiener. She was also cherished by many cousins and special friends.
