It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danny Kaye Smith of Duffield, Virginia, born in Kingsport, Tennessee, who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Lester Smith; and his brother Phillip Smith. He is survived by: the mother of his children Kathy Snavely (Dan); his children, Cindy Minton (Billy) of Duffield, VA and Kevin Smith (Traci) of Weber City, VA; his siblings, Priscilla Smith of Duffield, VA and Mark Smith (Rosa) of Dryden, VA; his sister-in-law Rhonda Smith of Statesboro, GA; his grandchildren, Molly Castle (Damien), Lauren Hammond (Cody), Makenna McCarty (Tyler), Morgan Kerns and Reagan Kerns; and his great grandchildren, Eli Hammond, Tenley Hammond, Teegan Hammond, Bennett McCarty, Juniper Castle and Jonah McCarty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
