He was predeceased by: his parents, Camel Bascom (C. B.) and Anna Eliza Minton (Bowen); his wife Martha Minton (Jessee); and his siblings, Estol Lorraine Minton, Lulla Belle Minton, Violet Jean Minton, Troy Minton, Lewis Minton, Gary Minton and Larry Minton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Bernice Rose of Black Mountain, NC, Sally Stacy, Della Bernard (Elmer) and Carl Minton (Betty); his nephews, George Walling (Stephanie), Wayne Walling (Shirley) and Mike Jessee; and his close friend Nancy Bowen of Duffield, VA. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
