She was predeceased by: her mother Frances Absher; her husband Edwin "Wayne" Mitchell; and her sons, Jeffery, Timothy and Quintin Dunlap.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Davis, Deborah Meade (Bryan) and Brad Dunlap; her grandchildren, Kristin Christian, Jarrad Carter, Logan Dunlap, Zackary Dunlap and Haley Meade; and her niece Rita Townsend.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Gate City Funeral Home to aid with funeral expenses.
