He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Estel Kennedy, Sr. and Ruby Ellen McFarland Kennedy; his wife Phyllis Ann Kennedy; his daughter Marquita Lynn Kennedy-Eaves; and his sister Barbara Hardin.
He is survived by: his son Robert Kennedy; his grandchildren, Cari Kennedy, Dublin, Dewey Eads and Pulaski (Tiny Town); his great grandchildren, Evelyn Kennedy and Leah Kennedy; and his siblings, Jesse Kennedy, Jr. (Janet), Rocky Gap, Ace Calvin Kennedy (Rose), Rural Retreat and Ruth Keene (Winfred).
