With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Dulaney Gearheart of Dublin, Virginia, born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on February 13, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton Silas and Mary Chaffin Dulaney; her siblings, Jack (Ilunka), Wayne (Judy Dulaney), Glenna Hammond and Carmen Stephenson; her brothers-in-law, Randolph Allen Gearheart and Fred Rutherford Gearheart, III; and her son Rex Andrew Gearheart.
She is survived by: her husband Rodney Rex Gearheart; her son Latha Allen (Kerri Weddle Gearheart); her grandchildren, Samuel Latha and Gemma Leigh of Clinton, SC; her daughter-in-law Ashley Gearheart; her daughters, Baylee Joann and Daelan Marie of Asheville, NC; and her siblings-in-law, Madeline Gearheart Terry of Greensboro, Charles Edward (Melody Counts) of Meadowview, VA and Bill Hammond of Salem, VA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
