We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2024, at the age of 81, Sharon Kaye Saunders Phillips of Dublin, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. Saunders, Sr. and Pauline Farris Saunders; her siblings, Charles H. "Jay" Saunders, Jr., Kenneth A. Smith and Charlene Saunders Hottle; and her grandson Justin Jay Newby.
She is survived by: her husband Sam Phillips of Dublin; her daughters, Diane Phillips Newby (Lee) of Dublin and Kimberly Kaye Phillips Ingram (Darrell Roberts) of Riner; her grandchildren, Austin Newby (Sunni Harper) of Pulaski and Kaylee Newby of Dublin; her great grandchildren, Camden and Bentley Newby; and her sisters, Ada McCormick (Ed) of Hoschton, Susie Saunders of Dublin, Rebecca Long of Dublin and Darlene Ousley (Larry) of Pulaski. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mullins Funeral Home (120 W Main St, Radford, VA 24141). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery (5550 Bagging Plant Rd, Dublin, VA 24084).
