It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Long Hawks of Dublin, Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Martin Jay Hawks; her parents, Albert Thomas and Mary Blake Long; her husband Phillip Jay Hawks; and her brother-in-law Dillard Wayne Akers.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Andrew Hawks of Lilly Dell, David Wayne Hawks of Oak Ridge, N. C. and Tammy Hawks Windle; her son-in-law Tim of Salisbury, N. C.; her grandchildren, Christopher Chase Sarver of Ohio, Zoey Elizabeth Hawks of Winston-Salem, NC, DeAnna Leigh Hawks of Lilly Dell, Alexander James Hawks of Calif and Nicholas George Hawks (Kathryn "Kassie") of Calif; her great grandchild Ruth Lanore Windle; her sisters, Sharon Akers and Janice Lodge (Mike); and her close friend Shawn "Sparkie" Fisher.
