She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet Deitz and Lloyd Deitz; and her siblings, Anita, John and Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Chuck Hayes (Valerie) of Christiansburg, Bob Hayes of Christiansburg, Joe Hayes (Bonnie) of Radford and Mary Heavener (Chuck) of Blacksburg; her grandchildren, Bryan, Hillary, Ashley and Kevin; and her great grandchildren, Elijah, Hudson and Ryder.
Due to the pandemic, the family will remember Phyllis in a private memorial service.
