He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Ishmeal and Grace Earles Conner; his parents-in-law, Avria "Ebb" and Mattie Smith Hall; his grandson Matthew Anthony Legg, Jr.; and his niece Terri Lynn McAlister Padgett.
He is survived by: his wife Patty; his children, Kristina (Matthew Legg, Sr.), Noah David (Stephanie Conner) and Rebecca Conner; his grandchildren, Madolyn Legg, Coralee Conner and Noah David Conner, III; his siblings, Luther (Joy Conner), Dan (Faye Conner), Mary Lynn Conner of Radford and Rebecca "Becky" (Wayne Hewitt); his son Brian Quesenberry; his caregivers, Radford Carilion Hospital, Jefferson Surgical Clinic, LewisGale Hospital, Pulaski and Carilion Clinic Outpatient Therapy; his nephew Tyler Hall; and also, Sue (Jim McAlister), Chelsea (Richie Hurst), Avria Hall (Kathy Henderson), Terry (Vickie Hall), Tim (Kim Hall) and Larry (Bonnie Hall). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends.
