He was predeceased by: his parents, Donnie Edgar and Josie Quesenberry Montgomery; his wife Effie Lea Goad Montgomery; his stepdaughter Debra Crowder; and his siblings, Leslie, Shelley Montgomery, Katherine Harris, Evelyn Walters and Reba Montgomery.
He is survived by: his son Robert Montgomery (Alice); his stepson Terry Bishop (Dana); his grandchildren, Stephanie Bishop Piscura (Luis), Dublin and James Ryan Montgomery (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Leona Reed, Delaney and Bencen Montgomery.
