She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Donithan Melton and Frederick Lee Melton, Sr.; her husband Lynwood Allen Barker; and her siblings, Junior Melton, Roby Melton, Pete Melton, Jack Melton, Peggy Ragnone, Iva Jewell Riffle and Lillian "Frankie" Stillwell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Barker of Dublin, Gay B. Goad of Dublin and Charlene Mitchell of Radford; her sister Emma Sue "Susie" Collins of Wytheville; and her grandson Grant B. Goad (Brittany) of Pulaski.
