With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Jessop Skewes MD of Dublin, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 15, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jessop and Effie Anna Gardner Skewes. He is survived by: his wife Sherry S. Skewes of Dublin; his children, David Skewes of Dublin, Dr. Matt Skewes (Tara) of Radford, John F. Smith (Tammi) of Suffolk and Erin Lattanze (Greg) of Front Royal; his nephew William Gardner "Rusty" Skewes of Mooresville; his grandchildren, Jessop, Sable, Jacob, Drew, Nick, Tom, Teaghan, Miranda, Audrey, Sophia, Max and Josie; his great grandchild Danny; his caregivers, Tommy and Lisa Akers; and his pets, Savannah, Sue and Hank. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
