He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Handy Thomas; his children, Rena Wilson (Brad), Pulaski, Pam Palmer (Richard), Dublin, Karen Boone (James) and Christiansburg; his grandchildren, Caleb Wilson (Natalie), Courtney Wilson, Joshua Palmer, Lauren Palmer, Jordan Boone and Nathan Boone; his great grandchildren, Ella and Lucas Wilson; his siblings, Virginia Dillon, Franklin Thomas, Dublin and Edward Thomas; and his nephew Nick Thomas.
