It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Lee Simpson of Dublin, Virginia, born in Pulaski, Virginia, who passed away on June 10, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Chambers Simpson and Cecil Ida Roope Simpson; his siblings, Dorothy Ann Simpson Thornton and Paul Simpson, Jr.; his grandson Seth Simpson; his great grandchild Braylon Simpson; and his son-in-law Jeff Allison.
He is survived by: his wife Opal Mae Thornton Simpson; his children, Gregory Lee Simpson-Dublin (Patty), Dana Raye Allison-Dublin, Stephen Todd Simpson-Hiwassee (Sherry) and Jill Renee Adams-Rocky (Ron); and his sisters, Judy Buckner-Dublin (Mark), Jenny Simpson-Pulaski and Mary Boyd-Bedford.
